Patriots cornerback Alfonso Dennard has been granted a second continuance on a hearing related to his July 11 arrest in Nebraska for suspicion of drunk driving, according to the Lancaster (Neb.) County Court, the Boston Herald reported. Dennard, a second-year player from the University of Nebraska, has admitted to violating the terms of his two-year probation from a previous arrest for assaulting a police office in Lincoln, Neb., in April 2012, and a judge will sentence him Dec. 5, a ruling that is independent of the ruling in the DUI case. Dennard faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for violating his probation. Dennard received two years of probation and a 30-day jail sentence to be served in March for the assault arrest.
