Soccer-Rio's Joao Havelange stadium shut for structural repairs Mar 26th 2013, 23:37 RIO DE JANEIRO, March 26 (Reuters) - Rio de Janeiro's Joao Havelange stadium, scheduled to host athletics at the 2016 Olympic games, was closed on Tuesday to undergo roof repairs, the city's mayor said. The stadium, completed less than six years ago, is currently the city's main soccer venue while the Maracana is rebuilt for this year's Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.
